Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has been congratulated by the Ekiti State Council of Traditional on his award as the Governor of the Year in Community Development by the Independent Newspaper.
A press statement on Sunday signed by HRM Ọba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro, the Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti and Chairman, Ekiti Council of Traditional Rulers, stated that the Council is very proud the acknowledgment has come from a reputable media establishment in consistent with the perception of most Ekiti people across the globe, and particularly by all Ekiti royal fathers.
The statement read, “As a Council, we can attest to the magnitude of your achievements since assuming office and we can bear, unequivocally, that the award is well deserving.
“We are particularly pleased to note that the awards point to your great works in the development of our communities in various ways including provision of power supply to rural communities that had last seen electricity for decades past. We also acknowledge your numerous achievements in rural and urban roads among others.
“We are pleased with your community participation approach to governance and its overall impact on government policies and project execution.
“We therefore want to use this opportunity to encourage you to keep it up and to go higher in all ramifications. Be assured of our royal blessings and support at all times.
