During the flag-off ceremony at the government house in Dutse, Governor Namadi said 143,500 vulnerable individuals are expected to benefit from the programme.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment of ensuring that all vulnerable individuals across the state have access to national healthcare standards.
“The government will continue to provide free healthcare services, gradually reaching every individual in the state,” Namadi said.
The Governor said improvements to healthcare infrastructure and service delivery would benefit not only the vulnerable populations but also all residents of Jigawa.
In a remark, the state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Muhammad Abdullahi Kainuwa stated that 500 people per political ward had already been enrolled, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 143,500.
