The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has on Tuesday announced the adoption of 95 orphans in Kano State.
According to reports, the Governor’s exceptional kindness and magnanimity was demonstrated during a special lunch with the 95 children presently under the care of the state orphanage home.
The event was part of activities marking the 2024 Independence Day anniversary in the state.
A statement by the Governor’s Spokesperson Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf declared full responsibility of the 95 Orphans henceforth.
According to him, “I want to announce that we have assumed full responsibility of all the 95 orphans domiciled in this facility, we will take care of their education from primary to tertiary, healthcare services, feeding and other social needs throughout my tenure”
The Governor assured that until the end of his tenure, the orphans would be treated as very important personalities with full benefit, care and privileges.
He added that the state government will accord the children the opportunity to reach their full potential in life.
The orphanage home, established 54 years ago, for the first time, witnessed the kind gesture Governor Yusuf offered while spending quality time with the vulnerable children.
“You are now my children, I will take care of you as my own, and you will begin to feel the good side of life in sha Allah” the Governor assured
The statement noted that the Governor had donated food items worth millions of naira for the welfare, safety and food security for the orphans.
