The 2025 Anambra State Governorship Election has continued to take full shape as Uzu Okagbue, the Deputy Director of Sir Paul Chukwuma Primary Election Campaign Council for Anambra Central, hosts members of the Anambra APC State Working Committee from Central, Local Government chairpersons and ward chairpersons, for Anambra Central senatorial zone, at his home in Umunnachi, Dunukofia LGA. The meeting which recorded nearly 100% attendance, lasted for hours, as party leaders deliberated on modalities to promote the party, ahead of the coming gubernatorial election in Anambra State. In his opening remarks, Uzu Okagbue thanked the Anambra Central APC leaders for coming, noting that the party is one united family that is being repositioned for maximum purpose. He also eulogized the leadership provided to the party in Anambra State by Sir Paul Chukwuma.

In his well-worded, energizing address, Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, the Director General of Sir Paul Chukwuma Primary Election Campaign Council, charged the party leaders to fully take ownership of the party in Anambra State as part of their own input required to compliment the efforts of Sir Paul Chukwuma to strengthen the party in Anambra State. He thanked Uzu Okagbue, describing him as a capable hand in the party who has joined to move the party forward. Speaking on Sir Paul Chukwuma’s key focus, Hon. Ibezi said that human capital tops Chukwuma’s agenda. Accordingly, that agenda is followed by infrastructure and then security. Insecurity in Anambra State has remained a major issue, yet, it is unknown what the present government is doing to arrest the situation. Sir Paul Chukwuma had earlier said that in a matter of months, he would address the prevailing insecurity in Anambra State when elected.
Hon. Ibezi who spoke on the new APC agenda said it is no longer business as usual, as this is a more determined APC. According to Ibezi, “There is no better time for this party to win the Anambra State Governorship Election than now.”
Members of the State Working Committee present include Engr. Sam Oraegbunam, Chief Augustine Muomaife, and others. Both charged the party leaders to be steadfast and show absolute commitment to the party. Chief Jude Ezenwafor also stressed that the current Anambra APC is a new one that will see the party to victory.
In his final remarks, Uzu Okagbue thanked the DG of Sir Paul Chukwuma Primary Election Campaign Council, Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, and all APC leaders present. He also reiterated that the APC’s rebranding in Anambra State has begun in earnest, as he urged all party leaders to key into the party’s outlined processes and strategies and be assured of the APC’s triumphant victory.
