The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), the social-political and economic apex umbrella body of the South South region has congratulated Senator Monday Okpebholo on his successful inauguration as the executive Governor of Edo State.
PANDEF also urged him to have the interest of the Edo People paramount at heart as he takes over the mantle of leadership.
The organisation in a press statement on Thursday signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief (Dr.) Obiuwevbi Christopher Ominimini, congratulated the newly sworn in Governor of Edo State and his Deputy, Hon Dennis Idahosa, saying that their peaceful and successful inauguration have shown that heaven has a blessing over their leadership in Edo State at a time when economic recession is troubling many nations of the world.
It advised the Executive Governor and his team to always have the interest of the Edo people who voted for them at heart.
“Without mincing words, PANDEF believes that the duo, the Governor and his Deputy who had the mandate of the Edolites to represent them at the Red and Green Chambers of the National Assembly before being reelected into this new but higher leadership role of the state shall perform creditably.
“The PANDEF Leadership led by the National Chairman, Amb Godknows Igali Ph.D, a seasoned Diplomat and Administrator per excellence shall constantly liaise with the newly inaugurated Governor of Edo State and other Governors of the region to achieve a sustainable and holistic development of the Niger Delta.”
