A former presidential candidate and onetime governor of Sokoto State Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa has called on the federal government to address the issues of insecurity so as to improve the standards of living.
Bafarawa, while speaking with newsmen in his residence, said once the question of insecurity is resolved, there is a tendency for an improved economy.
“The current hunger in the land is due to insecurity in the country, and once that is tackled, it will improve the economy, and our people will live better.
“Every Nigerian, irrespective of party affiliation, religion, or ethnicity, always prays for the success of leaders and the country at large,” he said.
He expressed disappointment that some of the leaders have refused to leave the stage for the young ones since the return of independence in 1999.
