Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has harped on quality jobs and the need to achieve project deadlines, during a meeting with contractors handling projects and heads of supervisory Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.

He stressed on the need for contractors to meet set deadlines and ensure quality delivery of projects billed for completion this year.

Oyebanji stated this at the meeting held at the Conference room of the Governor’s office, Ado-Ekiti, yesterday.

He took a critical review of the progress reports on each of the ongoing projects in different parts of the state with the state officials and the contractors.

A press release by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, made available to journalists on Wednesday, noted that contractors at the meeting restated their commitments to the scheduled delivery dates for the respective projects.

Restating his commitment to the scheduled deadlines for the delivery of all on-going projects, Oyebanji said his government is set to flag off new projects as contained in the 2025 budgets, hence the need to ensure timely delivery of the ongoing ones, which he said were designed to improve the living conditions of the people and enhance economic development of the state.

The Governor promised to hold review meetings with the contractors and supervisory agencies on a monthly basis in order to actualise the various timelines set for all the projects.
