Education has been described as the foundation of every great society, and books are the key that unlocks the doors of knowledge, imagination, and success.

The Head Teacher of Gombi Central Primary School of Gombi LGA, Adamawa State, Hajiya Talatu Isa Gudu asserted while receiving assorted textbooks covering art and science courses as well as book shelves, reading desks and chairs donated to the school by an educationist Hajiya Dijjatu Ballah at the school premises.

She explained that the donation of the books had enabled the school to set up a library, which is the first since the establishment of the school in 1944.

“By providing these invaluable learning materials, you have empowered our children with the tools they need to dream bigger, aim higher, and achieve greatness.

“Your kindness has not only enriched our school but has also inspired a culture of learning and reading among our pupils here and beyond. These books will spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and enhance literacy, ensuring that no child is left behind in the pursuit of education.

“The donation of books to our pupils is not just a gift, it is an investment in the future, a torch of knowledge that will illuminate the paths of these young learners for years to come,” she said.

In her remarks, the educationist and the donor, Hajiya Dijjatu Ballah enjoined pupils and students to cultivate the habit of reading textbooks to enable them excel in their academic pursuits.

She explained that the donation of the books was her desire to instill reading culture in the pupils particularly those at the primary school level being the foundation of education.

Hajiya Dijjatu explained that the government cannot provide everything to the people, hence the need for individuals to give back to the society, stressing that her educational career started some years back at Gombi one primary school.

According to her, any progressive nation depends on the intellect of its citizens.

In their various speeches, the chairmen SBMC, PTA, representatives of District Head Guyaku, Education Secretary Gombi LEA and other stakeholders thanked the donor and urged others to emulate her towards revamping the education sector.
