To ensure peaceful cohabitation in Taraba State, the Emir of Muri, Alh Abbas Njidda on Tafida has advised royal fathers to stop selling lands that belong to their communities to strangers who may be criminals.
The Monarch gave the advice while addressing thousands of people in his palace in Jalingo during his Eid- El- Kebir Sallah homage
“Ward heads and District Heads must know that whatever is kept for a community must be protected because it belongs to them.
“Royal fathers must leave by example; leaders at all levels must be just in the discharge of their satisfactory responsibilities.
“Once you are a leader, you must be a leader for all irrespective of religious or tribal differences, a leader does not have sentiment about religion or tribe,” he said.
He also advised traditional rulers to know the kind of people they harboured in their various communities and also be security conscious.
