In line with the Enugu State Government’s plan to create a comprehensive and verifiable digital survey database for accountability and transparency in land records, the office of the Surveyor-General has released a list of approved layouts for revalidation and digitization in the state.

Land owners at the layouts are advised to visit designated centres and licensed agents with the following documents before the 31^st December 2025 deadline.

The Survey Records Digitization Programme is a comprehensive reform aimed at building a fully digital, transparent, and verifiable survey and land records system that protects ownership rights and enhances public confidence in land administration in Enugu state.

Designated layouts are mapped out for this exercise, and landowners are required to submit their layout and survey documents at the designated centres and licensed agents for verification, revalidation, digital conversion, plot mapping, and issuance of new electronic survey plans and certificates.

A press statement signed by the Surveyor General of Enugu State, Chime Justus, states, “After this date (31^st December, 2025), any layout not revalidated will lose official government recognition, and all plots within such layouts will be classified as unverified in the State Land Database.”

“Landowners are strongly encouraged to visit any of the designated centres or licensed agents to complete the process promptly.”
