Four ambassador-designates out of the 68 confirmed last week by the Senate have been posted France, United States of America, South Korea and United Kingdom.
Recalls that in December last year, the Senate screened 68 ambassador-designates nominated by President Tinubu.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Approved the posting as contained in a statement by presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga.
The statement reads in part: “In a memo to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Tinubu urged the ministry to notify the governments of the four countries about the ambassador-designates, in accordance with diplomatic procedures”.
According to the statement, President Tinubu Approved the posting of Ambassador Ayodele Oke as the ambassador-designate to France and Colonel Lateef Are as the ambassador-designate to the United States of America.
Similarly, Ambassador Amin Dalhatu, former ambassador to South Korea, was posted as the high commissioner-designate to the United Kingdom and Usman Isa Dakingari Suleiman, former governor of Kebbi State, as ambassador-designate to Turkey.
