The Zamfara State Government has approved the payment of Nigerian Law School registration fees for 25 indigenes of the state for the 2024/2025 academic session.

In a special bulletin issued by the Zamfara State Scholarship Board, the board announced that the approval was granted by the state governor, Dauda Lawal, as part of efforts to support access to quality education and promote academic excellence.

According to a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the board, Rasheedah Liman, the intervention aims to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent deserving students from completing their professional legal training at the Nigerian Law School.

The statement reads: “Zamfara State Scholarship Board is pleased to announce that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dr Dauda Lawal, has graciously approved the payment of the Registration Fees for the 2024/2025 Academic Session of the Nigerian Law School for twenty-five (25) indigene students of Zamfara State.”

The board explained that the decision aligns with the current administration’s broader commitment to investing in human capital development and empowering young people in the state.

“This noble intervention is in line with the present administration’s commitment to promoting access to quality education, supporting academic excellence, and ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder deserving students from achieving their professional aspirations,” the statement added.

It further noted that the approval reflects the government’s deliberate efforts to strengthen the legal profession while supporting the educational advancement of Zamfara youths.

The scholarship board also disclosed that the beneficiaries were selected through a careful process designed to ensure fairness and transparency.

According to the statement, “The beneficiaries were carefully selected based on established criteria to ensure fairness, transparency, and inclusiveness. This support will significantly ease the financial burden on the affected students and their families, while enabling them to successfully complete their professional legal training.”

“His Excellency remains resolute in his determination to expand educational opportunities, particularly for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, as part of broader strategies aimed at fostering sustainable growth, social inclusion, and youth empowerment across Zamfara State,” the Board added.
