Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has inaugurated Judicial Commission of inquiry to investigate the romote cause of the crisis between Farmers and Herders in Lanzai/Dosho in Darazo Local Government area of the state.
The Commission, headed by Former Grand Khadi in the state, Khadi Abdullahi Yakubu Marafa will advise Government on the appropriate action to take as major against re-occurrence.
Inaugurating the commission, the Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Hon. Mohammed Auwal Jatau, charged members of the Commission to be guided by the rule of law and terms of reference in the discharge their responsibilities.
He charged them to ensure justice is serves to both parties involved in the crisis and that anyone found wanting should be decisively dealt with in line the law.
The Governor informed that his administration would no longer tolerate intentional break down of of the law by any group or individuals, warned people against taking laws into their hands.
Responding on behalf of the committee, the chairman, retired Grand Khadi of Bauchi State, Khadi Abdullahi Marafa, assured that the commission will be guided by its terms of references.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed for finding them worthy to serve and the confidence reposed in them.
The Commission has one Month to complete its assignment and submit the report which will include recommendations to the State Government.
