The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi has said 438 active cases of COVID-19 in Lagos communities are yet to visit care centres for treatment.
The commission disclosed this in a tweet which provided the state’s COVID-19 update for Sept.12
“483 active cases in communities are yet to turn open for admission in #COVID19Lagos care centres,” the tweet read.
Mr. Abayomi said that 48 persons tested positive for the infection out of a total of 915 tests conducted in the state on Saturday.
He also disclosed that the new cases bring the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Lagos to 18,531, noting that the total number of COVID-19 tests conducted in the state since the inception of the pandemic now stands at 92,206.
“48 new #COVID19 infections were confirmed in Lagos on Sep12 2020 out of a total of 915 #COVID19 tests conducted.
“The new cases bring the total of confirmed #COVID19 infections in Lagos to 18,531. The total number of #COVID19 tests conducted so far stands at 92,260
2,407 of the confirmed cases have since been discharged from #COVID19 Care Centres following full recovery.
“Also, 15,422 of the confirmed cases monitored in communities by #COVID19 Lagos Response Team have either fully recovered or positively responding to treatments.
