Adamawa State Police command has deployed 471 Police Personal to provide security at the coronation of 29th Hama Bachama, Dr. Daniel Ismaila Shaga.
A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje said the Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adeyanju has charged the Officers to display professionalism, protect life and property.
The statement read, “Commissioner of police Olugbenga Adeyanju has ordered for immediate deployment of police to secure the venue, protect lives and properties, ensure law and order is maintain and ensure effective crowd control.
“The CP has also ordered for massive deployment of operatives to strengthen the security around the Hama Bachama’s palace.
“Consequently, the Divisional police officers, their supervising Area Commander and 14pmf Commander are directed to identify and isolate lawbreakers from the venue, immediately arrest and diligently prosecute such perpetrators of violence”.
It called on members of the public to avail the police of useful information that can lead to the arrest of violators of the law.
The statement added that the CP has advised parents/guardians to prevail on their children/wards to steer-clear of acts of violence and criminality as the command will exercise the full power of the law to prevent any attempt to disrupt the process of the coronation.
