The Adamawa state Commissioner for Transportation, Alhaji Mustapha Musa Jika says the Ministry is doing its best to make the Adamawa sunshine express operators of Sunshine Bus Company becomes one of the leading transport companies in Nigeria.
The commissioner stated this Wednesday during the sunshine productivity award ceremony held at the corporate headquarters of the Adamawa Transport Board in Yola.
“Hard work pays, staff of the board should work hard by ensuring honesty, transparency, and total commitment at all times.
“Heads of units of the board should ensure they monitor and motivate their staff for improved productivity”. He said
Earlier, the General Manager of Adamawa Transport Board, Comrade Muhammad Tukur Abbo said the annual award was initiated by the board so as to encourage staff especially drivers, Mechanics and revenue collectors to improve on their productivity.
“The outbreak of COVID-nineteen has affected the operations of the board, but with hard work, the board has provided services in line with best practices.
“I commended Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for reconstructing and rehabilitating some roads, this will ease operations of the board”. He said
In his remark, the chairman of Adamawa Transport Board, Alhaji Abubakar Sahabo Raji gave an assurance that the board will sustain the award ceremony.
Four staffers including, Mrs. Ufulu Joseph, a revenue collector, Yusuf Abubakar, a mechanic, and Ibrahim Jalo, a security man were awarded merit certificates and twenty thousand naira cash each.
Mrs. Ufulu Joseph who spoke on behalf of the awardees expressed appreciation to the ard for recognizing them and pledged to do more.
