Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has officially announced a lawyer, Haruna Garba Magashi, as his running mate for the 2023 general election.
Sowore, who made the announcement on Thursday in Abuja, expressed optimism that his running mate has what it takes to deliver Kano, his home state, for the AAC during the 2023 general election.
“We hope to defeat APC (All Progressives Congress) over there (Kano) because the governor has messed up; we know that we will defeat PDP (Peoples Democratic Party), that is, the party that is imploding as we speak,” the Sahara Reporters publisher, flanked by some party members, boasted.
“We don’t need to talk about the Labour Party in Kano because the party doesn’t exist. We know that we will defeat Alhaji Kwankawso and his party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), in Kano because we have got someone who is from there.”
With veiled reference to the alleged missing credentials of the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and his placeholder running mate, Kabir Masari, Sowore assured that the certificates of his running mate were intact.
