Panshak Henry Zamani, the Nigerian hip-hop artiste better known as Ice Prince, has been arrested for abducting a police officer.
Ice Prince was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command in the early hours of Friday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said.
According to Hundeyin, the Oleku crooner allegedly abducted a police officer who stopped him for driving without license plates, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him into the river.
He further stated that the rapper would be arraigned later in the day.
“At 3am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station,” Hundeyin’s tweet read.
“He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the river.
“He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”
