The United States National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced that the trio of Burnaboy, Tems, and Rema will headline the halftime show at the 72nd NBA All-Star Game.
The NBA announced the pregame and halftime performers for the 2023 NBA All-Star game in Salt Lake City, Utah which included Nigerian singers via a post on his social media pages on Wednesday.
“Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer @burnaboy, 2023 Grammy award-winning singer and Oscar-nominated singer and producer @temsbaby and rapper and singer @heisrema will headline the NBA All-Star Game 2023 halftime show with an Afrobeats-themed performance,” the post read.
The event is scheduled for February 17 – 19 and the prominent Nigerian artists will perform on Sunday, February 19.
The NBA said it will honour LeBron James for achieving the new feat of surpassing Micheal Jordan as the league’s all-time scorer.
