Following the declaration of Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani of APC as Governor-elect in Adamawa made by the Adamawa State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Barr. Yunusa Hudu Ari, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Headquarters Abuja has suspended him from office.
This is contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Commission, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, who directed the officer to stay away from the commission’s office in the state until further notice.
It further directed the REC to handover the affairs of the commission to Administrative Secretary in the state with immediate effect.
