Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum has warned medical workers in the state against indolence, threatened to discipline any staff found wanting in the discharge of their duties.
Zulum who paid unscheduled visit to the Umaru Shehu Ultra-Modern Hospital in Maiduguri on Thursday expressed disappointment with the staff’s attitude towards patients.
The Governor while at the hospital’s emergency unit of the hospital said there were several complaints from the public against some staff of the hospital, explained that such behaviour would not be condone by his administration.
Zulum, urged the staff to be more compassionate and diligent in their duties, emphasized the importance of providing quality healthcare services to the people by his administration.
