Starting from August 10, 2023, there will be an upswing in the price of some Nigerian Breweries’, NB, products.
NB announced the upward price review of its products via a memo to customers by the company’s sales director, Ayo Lawal on Tuesday, August 1.
Lawal explained that the review has become necessary because of “continued rising input cost and the need to mitigate the impact.”
The NB is the producer of major alcoholic products like Star Lager, Gulder, Legend Extra Stout, Heineken, Goldberg, Life, and Star Radler, amongst others.
Some non-alcoholic drinks produced by the company include Maltina, Amstel Malta, Fayrouz, Climax Energy drink, and Malta Gold.
The memo, however, did not state which of its brand will be affected by the price surge.
This development is coming three months after Guinness Nigeria implemented a price increase on all its products due to the country’s harsh economic realities.
Guinness Nigeria explained that the decision followed “the recent industry developments and the prevailing economic realities which have impacted significantly on our current cost of doing business.”
