The collaboration between Troops of 144 Battalion and the Hybrid Force have yielded positive result with the rescuing of 25 hostages from Boko Haram Terrorists enclave in Borno State.
Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu in a statement said 14 of the victims, comprising six women and eight children, were rescued in a clearance operation in Gobara village in Gwoza Local Government Area of the state.

“The operation on Sunday, August 27, by troops of 82 Task Force Battalion led to the rescue of 11 civilians at Gava Village in Gwoza Local Government of the State,” General Nwachukwu said.
The Director stated that all the freed persons are in the custody of the troops and undergoing profiling.
In another operation on Sunday, August 27, troops of 2 Batallion, Nigerian Army, who were conducting an anti-banditry operation in Kaduna State, neutralised one criminal and freed four abductees in Kwana Shehu Village in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.
The Army said the rescued persons have since been reunited with their families.
