Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo, on Friday, announced the end of his 16-year-old civil union to Bunmi.
Nino B, as he is fondly called, described the crash of his marriage as a “sad reality”.
“My wife and I have decided to go our separate ways and headed for an irreconcilable marriage dissolution,” the actor stated in a social media post.
He said he is “heartbroken but not shattered” having finally accepted “the reality of the end to a road.”
The actor explained that though he “prayed, nurtured and worked tirelessly hard never to experience” the divorce, it “gives room and hope for a brighter and more fulfilling future.”
In his post, Nino B said that while he and Bunmi “move on with our independent lives”, they will jointly take care of their children.
The couple, blessed with two children, went through a separation in 2016 but reconciled in 2018. In November last year, the actor admitted to infidelity and shared that they had worked on their marriage to prevent a complete breakdown.
