The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, has found Professor Cyril Ndifon, the suspended dean of the University of Calabar’s (UNICAL) law faculty, guilty of sexual harassment, corruption and abuse of office.
The ICPC’s spokesperson, Azuka Ogugua, in a statement, said the commission had subsequently filed a criminal charge against Ndifon following the conclusion of its investigation into the allegations against the professor by some of his students.
The ICPC said Prof. Ndifon used his office and position as the dean of the Faculty of Law, UNICAL to gratify himself.
Ndifon, whose position has since been taken over by Rose Ugbe, would be arraigned in court on a yet-to-be-announced date, Ogugua said.
Ndifon has been in ICPC’s custody since October 4.
