The Chairman of Acobarry Foundation, Hon. Onyedika Chukwuma, sent his congratulatory message to the senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, on his victory at the Appeal Court on Friday.
Mr. Chukwuma, who is an APC stakeholder, also commended the senator for his bold and foresighted step in joining APC to connect ndi Igbo to the centre.
“I congratulate Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, on his victory at the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos. This is not a surprise for us because we knew he won the election clearly and overwhelmingly. There is no single doubt about this. We are happy that the court has affirmed his victory, which was given freely by the people of Anambra South. Congratulations to the people’s senator,” Mr. Chukwuma said.
Similarly, Hon. Onyedika commended Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah for his bold move to the APC. “I am extremely happy about that move. It is about time. Senator Ubah is a big fish, and he is needed in the center. Big clubs don’t play at the sidelines, they play in the major leagues. Therefore, our own cannot be different. It is a good thing, and we welcome him most heartily.”
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s victory was challenged by Hon. Chris Azubogu, Dr. Obinna Uzor, and Chief Chris Uba. However, petitions against Senator Ubah’s victory were dismissed by the Tribunal a little over a month ago. Then, on Friday, the petitioners’ appeals were also dismissed for lack of merit, by Appeal Court sitting in Lagos.
