The Canadian Embassy in Abuja was gutted by fire resulting in the dead of three persons on Monday.
Pilot News gathered that the explosion occured during a routine maintenance of the Embassy’s power generator.
Three members of the technical crew were killed in the unexpected conflagration. Other technical crew members escaped burning to death by the skin of their teeth.
The fire incident broke out at 11:30 a.m.
Staff were evacuated from the building to safety as emergency response team arrived to contain the fire.
The Canadian Embassy is located at 13010G Diplomatic Drive, Central Business District, Abuja.
