The Borno State governor’s main office was reportedly gutted by fire Tuesday morning.
The Governor was at his second office at the Musa Usman Secretariat when the fire broke out, according to Zagazola Makama.
The security details at the Government House gate barred staff and the press from entering the building while emergency firefighters trooped to the office building to put off the fire.
The fire was contained, but the extent of damage could not be confirmed.
Zagazola Makama did not say if any casualty was recorded.
