President Bola Tinubu is saddened over the demise of Ghali Umar Na’Abba, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Rotimi Akeredolu, the immediate past governor of Ondo State.
Na’Abba, 65, and Akeredolu, 67, passed on in the early hours of Wednesday due to an ailment.
In a condolence message for the past Speaker signed by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngalale, President Tinubu described Na’Abba as a disciplined and resolute politician.
He expressed profound grief at the loss, recalling the contributions of the late ex-lawmaker to nation-building through legislation, advocacy, and policy.

The President, in a message he signed, said Akeredolu’s death is a “national tragedy.”
“Rotimi has played his role well and left us untimely. We will never see his likes again,” said President Tinubu.
“Let me tell the people of Ondo State that I am grieving with you. We will honour Rotimi’s memory and make sure his legacy of service is never forgotten.”
