The Assistant Chief Regulator Officer, Investigation and Enforcement Department, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Apapa, Lagos, Mr Kazeem Adeniran has warned youths in the country against abuse of alcohol.
Adeniran who gave the warning on Friday in Ota, Ogun state, attributed one of the causes of crime in the country to abuse of alcohol and restated the commitment of the NAFDAC to intensify public enlightenment against abuse of alcohol to ensure sanity in the society.
“We are appealing to youths in the country to desist from abuse of alcohol because this could destroy their future,” he said.
Adeniran also blamed some of the road crashes on the usage of alcohol by motorists because of its negative effects on their sense of reasoning.
He appealed to companies in the country to join hands with NAFDAC in the fight against abuse of alcohol.
