Protesters stormed Ikeja under a bridge in Lagos on Wednesday morning, as the country marks 25 years of uninterrupted Democracy.
It was learned that some civil society groups, including the Take It Back Movement, the Education Rights Campaign, the Coalition for Revolution, breath, and the Socialist Workers League, are spearheading the protest.
The protesters with various inscriptions such as ‘President Tinubu, let the poor breathe’, ‘For another general strike with mass protest now’, and ‘Payment of living wage to all Nigerian workers now,’ chanted solidarity songs as they moved around. There was the presence of policemen and officials of the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps were sighted at the venue.
