Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State on Wednesday announced the creation of Ministries of Skills and Entrepreneur Development as well as Transportation.

The two new ministries came one day after seven commissioners, nine permanent secretaries and nine special advisers were sworn in by the governor.

The Governor while speaking during the maiden extended State Executive Council meeting, explained that the ministries were created to add more value to his administration and the state.

“We have achieved much that positively impacted our communities and set a strong foundation for our future growth,” he said.

Aliyu noted that huge allocations were made for the ministries in the 2025 budget, for them to create job opportunities for unemployed youth in the state.
