The Adamawa State Police Command has rescued five minors aged between 10 and 16 years, believed to have been kidnapped from Maiduguri, Borno State, who were rescued in Mubi town, Adamawa State, by the Police.
This is coming in less than two months, when 14 minors, mostly from Mubi North and Mubi South local government area of Adamawa State, were trafficked and rescued in Anambra State.

According to a statement by the Adamawa State Police Command Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the rescued minors, all residents of Gwange, in Maiduguri, Borno State, were found loitering on the streets of Mubi town includes Adamu Musa, 16 years, Suleiman Idris, 10 years, Suleiman Mohammed, 11 years, Dauda Yahaya, 11 years and Mohammed Alhassan, 11 years.
The statement reads in part: “On 13th September, 2025, the Area Commander Mubi, ACP Marcos Mancha, acted on timely and credible information, led his surveillance team and intercepted five male children found wandering the streets of Mubi town.
“Investigation conducted so far revealed that the victims were unlawfully taken from Maiduguri by one Aliga Suleiman of Sabon Layi, Gwange, Maiduguri, who is currently at large.
“Effort is ongoing to apprehend the suspect and bring him to justice”.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has commended the Area Commander and his team for the successful rescue and directed the SCID to take over the case and ensure the arrest of the suspect and the possible reuniting of the victims with their parents.
The CP reassured the public that the Command is committed to protecting lives and property across the state.
