The Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) has announced the temporary closure of all public parks under its management across the state for routine maintenance and upgrade works.
The affected parks include Ndubisi Kanu Park, Alausa JJT Park, Dr. Finnih Abayomi Park in Oregun, as well as all other parks managed by LASPARK across Lagos State.
The agency, in a statement, that the parks would be closed to the public from January 12 to January 31, 2026, due to increased patronage during the recent festive season.
According to the agency, the temporary closure would allow for essential landscaping, facility repairs, and general upgrades aimed at ensuring the parks remain safe, clean, and conducive to recreation.
“The maintenance exercise underscores its commitment to providing well-maintained green spaces that promote relaxation, wellness, and environmental sustainability for residents and visitors,” LASPARK said.
