The All Progressives Congress (APC) has re-elected Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu as the South-East National Vice Chairman during the APC South-East Zonal Congress held at the Presidential Hotel, Enugu.
Arodiogbu was returned alongside other zonal executives; Innocent Itapi as Secretary; Ernest Ogbonna as Legal Adviser; Henry Onwughaluonye as Publicity Secretary; Chima Ogbonnaya Youth Leader; Stanley Nwachukwu PWD Leader, and Oby Aji as the Women Leader.
Dr. Arodiogbu speaking after his emergence as Vice Chairman expressed gratitude to party leaders and delegates for the renewed mandate even as he promised to strengthen the party’s structure and expand its influence in the zone over the next four years.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Mbah, Governor of Enugu State has described the congress an evidence of the APC’s deepening roots in the region; recall that Governor Mbah joined APC in 2025.
“We elected a new eight-member Zonal Executive by consensus, a clear demonstration of our unity, maturity, and shared resolve as a political family.”
“The sheer number of people in attendance today is a testament to the undeniable truth that the APC in the South East is solid.”
“Despite the predictions of naysayers who expected our congresses to end in division, we have emerged stronger, more cohesive, and more determined than ever,” Governor Mbah stated.
Some prominent APC members in attendance are; Governor of Ebonyi and Imo state, Francis Nwifuru and Hope Uzodimma respectively. Former Senate President of Nigeria Ken Nnamani, and former Anambra State Governor Chris Ngige, alongside lawmakers and party faithfuls from across the region.
