The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rolled out its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, setting high costs for aspirants and fixing dates for its primaries across all elective offices.

In a statement issued late Monday and signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, the ruling party said presidential hopefuls will pay ₦30 million for the expression of interest form and ₦70 million for the nomination form, bringing the total to ₦100 million.

For governorship aspirants, the APC fixed the expression of interest form at ₦10 million and the nomination form at ₦40 million.

The statement further outlined that senatorial aspirants are to pay N3 million for the expression of interest form and ₦17 million for the nomination form. Those seeking seats in the House of Representatives will pay ₦1 million and ₦9 million, respectively.

At the state level, aspirants for the House of Assembly are expected to pay ₦1 million for the expression of interest form and ₦5 million for the nomination form.

The party, however, offered concessions to certain categories of aspirants. It said female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities are required to pay the full expression of interest fee but only 50 per cent of the nomination fee.

On the timetable, the APC announced that its presidential primary election will be held on May 15 and 16.

This will be followed by the House of Representatives primaries on May 18, Senate primaries on May 20, and State Houses of Assembly primaries on May 21. Governorship primaries are scheduled for May 23.

The release of the timetable signals the formal commencement of the APC’s internal electoral process ahead of 2027.
