The 7th Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed 37 bills and 28 resolutions in three years which the Speaker Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau said have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the State.
The Speaker of the House who made the disclosure during the End of Legislative Year Recess Wednesday in Lafia, acknowledged the support and cooperation of lawmakers to him during the period and called for its sustenance.
Dr. Jatau said “I want to thank you for giving me maximum support and cooperation over the years to succeed.
“We have achieved a lot and the achievements were as a result of our unity, your support and cooperation that you have given me.
“Within the years under review, we have passed 37 bills, 33 bills are pending to be passed and we have passed 28 resolutions that are important to the development of the State” he said.
“I want to appreciate you all and the opposition lawmakers for giving His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule the much needed support to succeed.
“And our cordial working relationship and effective synergy with the Executive arm has enabled His Excellency, Gov. Sule to achieve a lot in the State” he added.
Earlier, Rt. Hon. Abel Yakubu Bala, the Deputy Majority Leader of the House moved a motion for the House to embark on recess effect from 6th June, 2026 to 14th July, 2026, and seconded by Minority Leader Hon. Luka Iliya Zhekaba.
The House unanimously agreed with the motion and embarked on five weeks recess.
