A thunderstorm has killed six minors in Dadiri Tirgali village in Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa State who were struck by lightning while working on a farm, with two others sustaining injuries.
According to Ganye 24 Media, the incident occurred on Sunday, July 19, 2026, when lightning struck eight children working on a farm, killing six on the spot and injuring the remaining two.
The medium reported that the injured victims have been rushed to a healthcare facility for medical treatment.
The tragic event has thrown the entire community into mourning.
As of the time of this report, local authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
