The wife of the Enugu state Governor, Mrs Monica Ugochi Ugwuanyi on Monday, 27th January flagged off the state’s 2nd round of maternal, newborn and child health week (MNCHW). The project inaugurated in 2018 was held at the Uwani Health Center. This event was facilitated under the auspices of Enugu state Primary Healthcare Development Agency(EPHDA), and in collaboration with UNICEF, WHO and U-TOLF.
In his opening remark, the Executive Secretary/CEO Enugu State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr George O. Ugwu commended her excellency for her unflinching support, donations and interventions in revitalizing the EPHDA, healthcare centres in the 17 Local Government Areas in the state. These interventions has ensured the prompt immunization and deworming of children, provision of prenatal multivitamins to women, antenatal care and adequate health education.
The highpoint of the occasion was the donations made by Mrs Monica Ugoch Ugwuanyi to the Enugu Primary Healthcare Development Agency(EPHDA) and some Faith Based organizations(FBOs).

Each received 5 cartons of prenatal multivitamins, 43bottles of vitamin A(200,000IU) and 1 carton of Albendazole 400mg capsule.
