Organisers of Mr and Miss Nigeria International Africa (MMIA), Brendance and Crusaders, says registration for the 2020 event has kicked off on Thursday.
The 2020 MMIA, with the theme: ‘The Rebirth,’ would unveil the new Mr and Miss International Africa (MMIA).
Brendan Isikak, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Brendance and Crusader Limited, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, that registration for the contest would end on April 30.
Nsikak said the event was targeted at total repacking and revamping of the brand in a concept, production and expansion formula to widen the scope of the contest.
“We are going to have the annual Mr and Miss Nigeria International (MMNI) which will mark the end of tenure of the present King and Queen and ushering in new winners.
“I need to also make it clear that this year’s MMNI will come in big and rebranding formula as we will be introducing and unveiling our first global MMIA.
“The registration is officially starting on Thursday, and will run through the month of April, which is enough for interested persons to provide requirements and register their participation,” he added.
The Brendan and Crusader CEO added that screening and auditioning exercise would be restricted to only persons that met and completed the contest requirements before the specific closing date.
According to him, Brendan and Crusader organised contest audition will hold in Abuja, Anambra, Benue, Rivers, Ghana, Nairobi, South Africa, Gambia, UK Canada and Lagos from May to June.
Nsikak said that adequate plans were in progress to make the 2020 edition of the annual MMIA unique, a talk of the year’s event, highly recognised and full of expectations for contestants and spectators.
“MMNI is a cutting pact production that sets up standards for individuals with interests in pageantry and talented poised youths to follow and excel in pageant competitions and modeling.
“This year’s event would carter for more corporate branding due to positive results generated from last year’s production, with supports, various endorsements and sponsorships by existing and new brands,” he added.
He noted that the edition would also open doors to current MMNI ahead of Miss Africa Continent in South Africa, Miss International World USA, and Mr Landscape in China, in Thailand for Attitude Men Finals, and also the Mister Global competition.
NAN reports that Denis Idara and Peter Abah won the 2019/2020 Mr and Miss Nigeria International, a Brendance and Crusader Limited organised contest and were presently, Queen and King of the pageant.
In his remarks, President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, urged the NDDC Committee to work on the 2020 Budget and report back to the Senate within two weeks to enable the upper chamber pass it on good time.
“At no time should NDDC or indeed any agency of government bring its budget later than Sept. when we receive the proposal from the President for the federal budget,” he said.
