Of the five cases recorded in Delta state, two have recovered and have been discharged. Delta state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa disclosed.

In a tweet, the governor stated that two COVID-19 cases have recorded while the other 3 are currently receiving treatments.

“Dear Deltans, it is my pleasure to announce the discharge of two of the five #covid-19 patients in our state .”

He urged all citizens within the to adhere strictly to the lockdown directive, noting that there will be a meeting with all religious leaders on Thursday. This meeting is to discuss the issues relating to the ban on religious gatherings.

“As we continue to monitor the recovery process of the other three active cases. I ask that you all continue to adhere to the precautionary measures and isolation directives we have put in place. Together, we will beat this.

“Finally, on Thursday, 30th April, to chart the way forward for our places of worship, I shall be meeting with our religious leaders to discuss all possible options. However, all religious crusades/conventions remain banned until further notice,” he wrote.

Delta state recorded its first case on April 7, just as the country’s tally rose to 254. As of now, there are 6 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state, 2 discharged, and 1 death case.
