CoronavirusHealthNewsNigeriaCorona Virus: ‘We Only Build Immune System’

The Coordinator in charge of all the isolation and treatment centres in Oyo state, Professor Temitope Alonge has revealed how patients who tested positive to the coronavirus are been treated at the various isolation centres in the state.

He revealed this while discharging eleven patients from the State Infectious Disease Centre, Olodo, Ibadan on Friday

Alonge, a former Chief Medical Director, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan stated that the medical and healthcare workers only seek to boost the immune system of patients who are brought into the facility in the fight against COVID-19.

He noted that there are many well-known regimes on boosting immunity but that Oyo state has stuck to a certain regime which had led to an increase in the number of discharged cases.

Alonge also cautioned against being exposed to COVID-19, even though a member of the virus family, it is different from the popular Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in terms of manifestation and cure.
