NewsNigeriaPoliticsAPC Holds NEC Meeting With Buhari in Attendance, Dissolves NWC

The National Executive Council meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) holds today, Thursday, at the Presidential Villa.

The NEC also dissolve the National Working Committee (NEC), announced Yobe State Governor, H.E. Mai Mala Buni as Chairman of the APC’s Caretaker Committee with convention to be held in six months.

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are among the party members in attendance.

The meeting was called by Victor Giadom, deputy national secretary. President Buhari had since recognized the Giadom as the acting National Chairman of the party.

The meeting was declared open by Buhari at 12pm.

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and other 15 state governors are in attendance.

The governors in attendance include governors of Nasarawa, Niger, Jigawa, Yobe, Plateau, Kogi, Imo, Gombe, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Kwara, Ekiti, Kano and Kebbi.
