It was gathered that at 8:30 p.m, the embattling Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Ibrahim Magu, has spent a second night in the Police custody.
He was driven from the old Banquet Hall of the presidential Villa, venue of the panel’s sitting, back to the Force Criminal Investigation Bureau (FCIB), where he passed the night on Monday.
A source disclosed that “Yes. Magu has returned to police custody. He left the venue of the panel’s sitting at 8.30 pm and was driven back to the same police facility where he was detained on Monday.”
also, some policemen attached to the FCIB on Tuesday searched the home of the EFCC Boss. Magu was also interrogated by the Justice Ayo Salami Presidential Panel on Tuesday over corruption allegation.
He was returned to the Police custody on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m
At 6 p.m, Magu’s house located at Abduljalil Street, Karu Site, on the outskirt of Abuja was searched by policemen and some vital documents were made away.
According to the report, the same policemen that arrested Magu were the ones that carried out the search.
According to a police officer who speaks in anonymity, “On Tuesday evening, a team of policemen stormed the home of Magu in Karu. That is the house where Magu used to live before he moved to Maitama after his appointment as EFCC chairman.
“The policemen made away with some items and everything will be processed as investigations continue.”
