The National Assembly has postponed the resumption of plenary sessions by two weeks.
In a statement, the assembly Acting Clerk, Arch. Olatunde Ojo disclosed that
The Acting Clerk to the National Assembly, Arc. Olatunde Ojo, in a statement, said Tuesday, 29th September has been fixed as the new resumption date.
It would be recalled that the Senate and the House of Representatives had earlier adjourned plenary sessions on September 15 in July to enable lawmakers to observe their annual vacation.
However, Ojo did not provide any reason for the change in his statement.
“This is to inform all Distinguished Senators and Honourable members of the National Assembly that the resumption of plenary session earlier scheduled for Tuesday, 15th September 2020 is hereby rescheduled for Tuesday 29th September 2020. We regret any inconvenience caused by this change of date,” he said
