The Nigeria Red Cross Society, Mothers’ Club in Yola South local government area of Adamawa State has distributed delivery kits and COVID-19 prevention equipment to pregnant women in Aliyu Mustapha Clinic Yola and Yolde Pate clinic in the local government.

Items distributed include hand sanitizers, soap, face masks and delivery kits among others.

The items donated by the United Nations Fund for Population Activity (UNFPA) are intended to encourage pregnant women to abide by COVID-19 protocols at all times.

Presenting the items, the Coordinator of the club Hajiya Halima Abubakar Njidda called on the beneficiaries to make the best use of utilizing the items judiciously so as to protect them and their children from the world pandemic.

Halima while appreciating the UNFPA and the Nigeria Red Cross Society for the assistance called on the pregnant women to always go to the clinic for antenatal checkups for safe delivery.
