The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas has been conferred with a traditional tilte of Madawakin Shelleng Emirate by the Amna Shelleng Dr Abdullahi Isa Dasong the II.
Presenting the conferment letter to Speaker in Yola by the Galadiman Shelleng Alhaji Yawale Boltingo on behalf of Amna Shelleng said the title conferred on the speaker due to passion he has for the development of Emirate and the State at large.
“The speaker has become leader whom many people across the board are beckoning to be together with and the title of Madawakin Shelleng is a show of recognition of his style of leadership”. He said.
Responding, the new Madawakin Shelleng Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas through the Madawakin Adamawa who is also the Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs to Governor Fintiri Alhaji Usman Marafa thanked Amna Shelleng for the title and pledged to continue in contributing towards the development of the Emirate.
Meanwhile, members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly have congratulated the Speaker of the Assembly Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas on his conferment as new Madawakin Shelleng Emirate.
In a congratulatory message through the Chairman House Committee on Information and member representing Gombi Constituency, Mr. Japhet Kefas described the Chieftaincy title as worthy and well-deserved.
“The conferment of the Speaker is coming on the heels of his one and half years in office as the Speaker of the House which shows that his qualities of leadership are acknowledged within and outside of the House of Assembly.
