Jigawa state governor, Muhammad Abubakar Badaru, signed into law the appropriation bill for the year 2021 to the tune of N156, 588,000,000.00 billion.
This development is barely one week after the state house of assembly passed the bill.
He signed the budget at Dutse government house in the presence of members of the state executive councils, members state assembly, APC leaders and other stakeholders.
Speaking shortly after signing of the budget, the Governor commended the members of the house for the speedy passage of the budget.
“The speedy passage of the budget by state assembly has give us the opportunity to review and reorganized the state budget calendar.
“Our budget calendar would start from January to December, as we will commence implementation of 2021 budget by January,” he said.
He also promised to collaborate with legislative, civil servants and all other stakeholders to ensure maximum, effective and transparent implementation of the signed budget.
