Deputy Governor of Borno state Alhaji Umar Usman said the state government will soon renovate Marama General Hospital in Hawul Local Government for effective healthcare service delivery.

Usman disclosed this when he visited the hospital in the company of the Adamawa State Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth, who said the government owed its citizens the responsibility of providing good healthcare service delivery which is one of their cardinal objectives.

He assured the people of the area that efforts are already on ground to renovate the hospital for effective healthcare service delivery.

Usman gave assurance that the government would collaborate with the owner of one of the abandoned private structures in the area to put it into use in order to complement the Marama General Hospital in offering medical services.

In his remark, Adamawa State Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth lauded the efforts of the Borno state government for attaching importance to the health sector in the state.

He noted that such commitment by the Borno state government to upgrade its health facilities to meet the healthcare needs of its people amidst security challenges is a clear demonstration of good leadership qualities.

 The Borno state deputy governor then made some undisclosed cash donations to patients on admission to the hospital.
