The Anambra State Assembly after its sitting yesterday, proceeded on a two weeks break to enable the Ministry of Health fumigate the Assembly complex.

It would be recalled that last week, the Ministry of Health led by the Commissioner of Health Anambra state, Dr. Vincent Okpara conducted a COVID-19 test on honourable members and members of staff of the Assembly, and a handful of those whose sample were taken tested positive and have since proceeded on self-isolation, while contacted tracing has been on.

After the sitting yesterday where the House confirmed the extension of the tenures of Transition Chairmen, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor announced that the Assembly will be shut down for two weeks to enable the Ministry of Health conduct thorough fumigation of the House of Assembly complex.
